Nordic Rehab Ltd offer falls physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at home in Solihull and local areas. This rehabilitation is provided by chartered physiotherapists and will help clients suffering from repeated falls, who are at risk of falling or who suffer with dizziness.
CAUSES OF FALLS
There are many factors which can contribute to the risk of falling:
Chronic health conditions such as dementia, low blood pressure or heart disease.
Deteriorating eyesight and a slower reaction time, particularly in older people.
Lack of muscle strength and joint flexibility.
Stiffness or lack of feeling in feet or legs.
Conditions affecting the nerves of the body, such as strokes and MS.
Loss of confidence.
Falls are very common. 1 in 3 adults over 65 will have at least one fall a year, and about half of these will fall more frequently. Falling can result in injury (particularly for people who have osteoporosis) or can cause the person to become withdrawn and lose confidence.

Our physiotherapists have broad experience and competence and we will utilise a multitude of methods to help you achieve your goals.
The Nordic Rehab team are highly experienced in assessing people’s functional needs in relation to mobility equipment, such as walking sticks and frames. If you need such equipment, we will make sure that you feel confident in using your walking aids safely. If required, we can help with the entire process, from assessment to the sourcing and fitting of such equipment.
We think of you as a whole person. The Nordic Rehab falls prevention program & exercises are part of a strategy which not only address the physical aspects of falling but also reduces worries and anxiety which can follow after experiencing falls. We support our clients to help them regain their confidence and achieve their goals.
WHERE DO WE DO IT?
The initial assessment will take place in the home environment, but the unique Nordic Rehab approach to falls prevention typically also involves outdoor activity (as long as the client is happy with this).
